ohmiGene PC 0.99.78

ohmiGene is a software (donateware) for creation and management of genealogical data. Available in English and French, it works on MacOS X and Windows, even Linux. A database (UTF8) created on Mac works on PC (Windows or Linux), and vice versa.

SOME CHARACTERISTICS:

  • All contexts defined in the gedcom format are available, excepted those of the LDS church : individual or familial records, events or attributes, all models of dates ... without forgetting relations which admit reciprocity, (tag ASSO), possible double (tag ALIA) or multiple identities which are forgotten by many softwares !
  • They are correctly handled (import, manipulation and export). It is very rare !
  • Most of these contexts support an unlimited number of associated files (illustrations, etc.), notes, texts, sources and sakouveux (what you want : witness, epoch ...,).
  • It is possible to IMPORT or EXPORT the totality or a part of the genealogy in the GmC or GEDCOM format without loss of data.
  • A genealogy can be published as two types of WEB SITE.

WORKING EASE:

  • It is possible to create working lists, according to a multitude of criteria, with ease ...
  • These lists can allow modifications in series (marks, sources ...), be printed or exported in various formats : GEDCOM, GmC, tabulated or normal text ...
  • It is possible to memorize until 8 lists and to make logical operations with them.
  • Every individual can be marked by means of 24 criteria and found due to this mark.
  • A history (30 persons) allows to find quickly a person.
  • A tree 7 G (7 generations) with the possibility of navigation.
  • A module allows to convert dates in various calendars: Gregorien, Julian, Chinese, Indian, Arabic, Hebrew, French.
  • Method Drag N drop to order lists (children, unions, events ...)
  • Quick lists, Statistics, a diary-address book ...
MANAGEMENT of the genealogy There are modules which allow to handle surnames, names of event, the mess of places, documents, sources and repositories, sakouveux ... and a module to try TO FIND THE DOUBLES, with the possibilty of merging their contexts.
