Normally you can not see or interact with the clipboard other than to put something in or take something out.Three years ago while coding web pages and applications it struck me at just how useless the clipboard really was and I started writing an application that I hoped would be able to interact completely with Windows.

It didnt take me too long to come up with the first major version of Clippy, which was little more than a glorified notepad and it only allowed you to view one file per instance of the application. This meant you had to have open a lot of Clippys to view a few files.

Several months passed and I worked on a newer version which I code named 2000 (since the year 2000 was no more than a few months away at this stage). This version included the ability to edit Graphics and open more than one file, it became a huge success and spurred on by the support I received from you I made more changes and grew Clippy into the application it is today.

Well its now been about a year since I last updated Clippy and while some of you may think Ive not done much over this period I know I have. With the new version of Clippy you will see some of the significant improvements and features that I have added.

Many of these transformations also has an additional parameter called intensity. It basically controlls how much the text will be altered; setting it to different values implies results variance. The scale of allowed intensity depends on specific transformation.

Using AlteString is very easy. You simply specify text you wish to transform - you can enter it manually or load from file. There is also possible to perform quick transformation of clipboard contents. Next you choose the transformation and adjust the intensity. After transformation is performed resulted text can be immediately saved to file or used in any other way.

Quick and simple, copy and paste or set the program to monitor the clipboard. You can also set the program to automatically save bitlets when the ClipMonitor is on, enhancing your clipboard to save any text you copy to clipboard for future use. If you are a little paranoid about some or all of your data then you can also encrypt it using RC4.
