Log Monitor

The LogMonitor application leverages the MySQL logging mechanism. It monitors the general query log file produced by the MySQL server on a schedule and displays the latest activity on the screen.

The application can very easily be used to monitor any kind of log file. In other words, you can tell the application to monitor a text file whose content changes in time. When the content changes, the new lines are displayed on the screen.

Net Runner v1.0

Net Runner is an accurate and fast performing analyzer for testing the performance of a network. It does this by communicating with its counterpart, Net Node. Firstly you install Net Node on other computers within the network. Net Node will then act as a server for Net Runner. You then instruct Net Runner to connect to a certain node and it will start testing. Depending on the options you chose, Net Runner will continue to test the performance of the network until all tests have been completed. The end result illustrates a speed vs. time graph.

winLogAnalyzer 1.0.3 Beta

winLogAnalyzer is a program that allows to detect anomalies in Windows, user processes and hardware behavior which can appear because of attacks, viruses activity, software & hardware failures and other potentially dangerous states of computer by performance counters data real-time analysis implemented by specific data mining algorithms.

Anomalies in Windows subsystems (such as virtual memory, file systems, net connections), hardware (such as processor, hard disk, Ethernet card) and user processes are detected as deviations from normal behavior templates discovered by program and not explicitly allowed by user. Detecting is based on Windows performance counters data analysis. You should know that not all negative situations lead to deviations which can be successfully detected through this analysis. Nevertheless this method allows to detect unlimited range of dangerous and potentially dangerous states, failures and actions in the work of software and hardware.

Features:

  • Variety of analyzing plug-ins: you can use the most appropriate one for each log.
  • Expansibility of analysis methods: to improve analysis you can get new official and third-party plug-ins or develop your own.
  • Powerful notification abilities: you can filter messages by content, warning level, source, etc. and define notification conditions for each method: email, net send, special program executing.
  • Customizable monitoring: you can monitor Windows subsystems, applications and hardware that you need with consumption of system resources that you want.

AMD N-Bench 3.1

N-Bench is a benchmark program that will measure the performance of your computer. Measurement is performed by "CPU Benchmark" which measures CPU performances, such as integer operation and a floating point arithmetic, and "3D Benchmark" which used the real-time display performance of 3D graphics as the base.

Dead Pixel Buddy 1.1

This is a program for testing LCD screens for dead pixels.

Before trying to grasp the meaning of a dead pixel, first you need to understand the technology behind LCD displays. An LCD display is essentially made up of pixels. Each pixel is made up of red, blue and green valves. The valves in each colour either block or pass the light source. By manipulating the amount of light passed through, each pixel displays a distinctive colour on screen. Pixels consisting of these valves are what make up the image that is ultimately displayed on the screen. A typical monitor has millions of pixels. A dead pixel refers to a pixel with a defect in its ability to display the correct colour output. It may look like a tiny black spot on your screen, or any other colour that does not correspond to what the actual image should look like.

A typical 17 inch monitor contains up to 4 million pixels. Even a tiny dust particle on one of the pixels during the manufacturing process can create a dead pixel. Or a slight bump during shipping can break one of the highly sensitive pixels.

If youve scoured every inch of your screen but cant find a single dead pixel, you are in luck. Because of the complexity of the design, it is generally regarded dead pixels appearing in some products are inevitable. If you need to absolutely make sure whether you have purchased a defective display, you can use this program. It simply paints your entire screen with one of the colours that make up a pixel to make the dead pixel more conspicuous to the naked eye. Run through the red, green and blue colours in turn and check for pixels that do not match.
