If youve ever wondered exactly how fast your CPU is running, this great little application will tell you. Simply click the Test my Speed button and see CPU Speed go to work. It only takes a couple of seconds to determine your processor speed. Its very accurate and takes the guess work out of CPU purchase and testing.

XPBench is rather specifically designed to query which Windows XP features are supported by a video card/driver combination and then demonstrate the performance improvements supporting the XP APIs makes.

At this time, XPBench checks for the following:

• Does the driver support constant alpha blending (this improves the performance of fade effects as an example)
• Does the driver support per pixel alpha blending (window shadows make use of this)

An updated version, 3DMark05 is also available.
